Final attempt as a normal email. The invitation updates don't seem to
work as intended.

Here is the information I was attempting to send to you all!

Good morning!

I send a reminder for this meeting today to tell about a slightly
different agenda.

This could be a perfect time to start joining the project calls and get
acquainted without being lost in the details
of the  AVPS specifrication.  We will continue this in the weeks to come.

The version 2 of the AVPS is complete and getting final formatting, to
be released this week.  Before jumping immediately into a "version 3",
we deserve a bit of a break from the specification itself to just
investigate interesting topics, and share knowledge.

I suggest therefore we spend some itme to plan the next activities.  The
idea is to pick specific virtualization topics, separately from the
specification writing, and to do deep-dive investigations.  We did
something similar with Graphics Virtualization a while back, where we
had a series of sessions that invited experts in the graphics frameworks
as well as hardware vendors speaking about their specific silicon
technologies.  I belive this gave everyone involved a big boost in
understanding of the area.

We'll work on deciding on a shortlist this week and then schedule the
deep-dives as we go forward.

Some starting ideas for deep-dives:

  • Crypto / Security
  • Trusted Execution Environments
  • Ethernet AvB / Time Sensitive Networking
  • Google's Trout platform (likely subdivided into areas of interest)
  • Microcontroller virtualization
