The W3C Automotive Working Group asks for your expertise and feedback on
the two draft specifications allowing web applications to retrieve vehicle
data and to interact with vehicle functions.
As a starting point you can find an overview and introduction into the
rationale of the specification at
The two specifications are posted at:
- VISS: https://w3c.github.io/automotive/vehicle_information_api/vehicle_
- VIAS: https://w3c.github.io/automotive/vehicle_data/
Please post your feedback to the issue tracker on Github which you can find
at https://github.com/w3c/automotive/issues. You do of course need a Github
account to do so (but who does not).
The Automotive Working Group and the chairs Peter Winzell (Mitsubishi
Electric), Paul Boyes (Inrix) and myself very much appreciate your
participation and feedback.
