[genivi-dlt] How to identify the start of DLT message in the tcp stream sent by DLT daemon ?

Hello Madhu,

normally there is no need for a special detection of the beginning of a DLT message in a TCP stream. TCP should be secure, so that there are no bytes lost. You can read the header of each message and then you will get the size of each message. Then you will know where the next message starts.

In dlt-daemon.cfg you can also enable the DLT serial header feature. Then you will get a special pattern before each DLT message “DLS0x01”. But this is normally only needed for unsecure connections like serial port.

Best regards

    Alex

Betreff: [genivi-dlt] How to identify the start of DLT message in the tcp stream sent by DLT daemon ?

Hello All,

Currently am working with Genivi DLT , in that dlt-daemon will send log message to the client through TCP.
In that TCP stream how to identify the start of each DLT message. If there is any data is missed then how to identify the start of next DLT message.

I am writing a python script to print those messages on the console.
